This is the privacy policy for Bradley Gardens, trading as Bradley Gardens Lodge, at 11 Bradley Plots, Gweru, Zimbabwe. It explains what personal information we collect when you visit this website, send a booking request, or get in touch with us, and what we do with it.

What we collect, and why
Booking requests
When you send a booking request through this site, we ask for your name, contact details, and the details of your stay — dates, room type, and number of guests. We use this to check availability, confirm your booking, and prepare for your visit. No payment is taken on this website: every request is confirmed by the lodge directly, by phone or email.
Enquiries
Our enquiry and contact forms collect your name, email address, and whatever you tell us in your message, so we can reply properly.
Email correspondence
If you email us, we keep that correspondence so we have a record of what was agreed and can pick up the conversation where it left off.
Site usage
We use Jetpack to see how many people visit the site and which pages they look at. This is aggregate statistics, not a profile of you personally.
Cookies
This site uses a small number of cookies to make it work properly — to remember your session while you’re browsing, and to serve cached pages faster through our hosting provider, SiteGround. We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don’t sell or share your browsing activity with advertisers.
How we use your information
- To respond to your booking request and, once confirmed, prepare for your stay
- To reply to enquiries and correspondence
- To meet our legal and accounting obligations
- To understand how the website is used, so we can keep it working well
We don’t use your information for marketing you haven’t asked for, and we don’t sell it to anyone.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell your personal information. We share it only where it’s needed to run the site and the lodge:
- SiteGround, who host this website
- Our email provider, to send and receive correspondence
- The plugins that run this site — Jetpack (statistics) and Yoast SEO — each of which processes limited technical data under its own privacy policy
How long we keep it
We keep booking records for as long as we’re required to for legal and accounting purposes. Enquiries are kept until they’re resolved, then deleted or archived within a reasonable period. If you’d like something removed sooner, ask us.
Your rights
Under Zimbabwe’s Data Protection Act [Chapter 11:12], you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, have it corrected, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it. For guests visiting from abroad, we’ll honour equivalent rights — the kind set out in the EU’s GDPR — on request, even where Zimbabwean law doesn’t require it.

Children
This website isn’t directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them. Children are of course welcome to stay with family at the lodge — any information we hold about a child guest is collected as part of a parent or guardian’s booking.
Keeping your information secure
This site runs over a secure (SSL) connection, and access to guest and booking data is restricted to the people who need it to run the lodge. No system is completely without risk, but we take reasonable, industry-standard steps to protect what you share with us.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, to reflect changes in how we operate or what the law requires. The current version applies from the date below.
